History of Walsall

Walsall is a huge market town and has a bureaucratic focus in the West Midlands County, England. Generally part of Staffordshire, it is found 9 miles (14 km) north-west of Birmingham, 7 miles (11 km) east of Wolverhampton and 9 miles (14 km) from Lichfield.

Walsall has a bureaucratic focus of the more extensive Metropolitan Borough of Walsall. At the 2011 census, the town's developed region had a populace of 67,594, with the more extensive ward having a populace of 269,323. Neighboring settlements in the surrounding area incorporate Darlaston, Brownhills, Pelsall, Willenhall, Bloxwich and Aldridge.

Things to do in Walsall

January 2000 saw the opening of The New Art Gallery, Walsall in the north-west of the town community close to Wolverhampton Street, alongside the new Crown Wharf Retail Park opening a short while later. Part of Park Street, the town's fundamental shopping area, was redeveloped within the similar time. Walsall College has moved to another site in Walsall town centre, while on the old site Tesco has opened another 10,000 sq ft (930 m2) shopping complex.
