I am not yet aware of a capture date for this pup; the ship the trio were collected on, the Beothic, set off on its voyage on June 19th, 1910.
This pup was one of three walrus calves collected as a gift to the Bronx Zoo from Paul J. Rainey. This pup evidently arrived to the United States alive but in poor condition -- he is believed to have passed either on September 9th or 10th.
I am not certain whether or not this walrus survived the move to the zoo; newspapers suggest that he was dead upon arrival, thus I have elected at this time not to place this individual in the Bronx Zoo's inventory.
