Notes and Information

An alternate capture date for Aurora is May 16th.

Aurora was a participant in an artificial insemination program, and was the first walrus to have undergone the process -- she became pregnant at least once via AI, which resulted in an implantation (which takes place four to five months after conception) but ultimately the pregnancy was not carried to term.
