These butterfly templates can be printed on white or any bright-colored paper. After your students decorate the butterflies they can tape them to the wall or make a collage out of them. With the smaller butterflies, students can string them together and hang them in the classroom or take them home.

This is a printable with two medium-sized butterflies on it. A fun idea could be to let students color each butterfly and then cut them out and glue them together, this way either side of the craft is colorful and decorated!

If you prefer to use my template instead, you can download this from my 1__________ page. There is a version that comes with instructions as well the template, and alternatively one that has three butterflies squeezed onto an A4 sheet, for maximum efficiency. Both Butterfly templates are exactly the same.

First, I painted the butterfly shaped wood cutout with a white paint to give me a background. Then, I used some green, orange, and grey paint to give its body some color. I blended the colors together to create a gradient effect that really made the butterfly pop.

Next, I went back to the butterfly wood cutout and applied the butterfly stencil. Using some Black chalk couture paste, I painted in the black areas of the butterfly to create contrast and give it some depth.

After all that was done and both the butterfly and the canvas were completely dry, I glued the painted butterfly wood cutout onto the canvas using my favorite hot glue gun. It was like the butterfly had just landed on that birch wood canvas!

We both made a butterfly craft and it was a really nice activity to spend some time together. Using things we found in our garden and our free butterfly template also mean that that was a really cheap activity too.

If the lion is the king of the jungle, the butterfly is the monarch! The pun is so-so, but the majesty of the monarch butterfly (it's the actual name of the insect) has no equal. And its journey from summer to winter and back again is simply incredible. Such royalty needs an elegant template like this one. We have included lots of beautiful illustrations of flowers and butterflies, a truly hand-written font for the titles, and some sections describing different aspects of this species. The actual content is up to you!

Making things is so much fun, especially when you can use a butterfly outline to help you create something beautiful. Download the PDF and print my different large and small butterfly outlines and let your imagination take flight!

You do not need many supplies to create something beautiful with these printable butterfly outlines. Decide if you are going to make stickers, stencils, cutouts, or vinyl butterfly shapes. Choose your paper accordingly.

This course comes with 2 Monarch Butterfly Templates (for a small-sized and large-sized butterfly - you choose), Leg Shape/Size Reference Template, and Supplies List that you can download and reference.

Before I make this butterfly, I also had never tried making paper butterflies before! This is why I've designed this course so that you go through the entire creative process that I went through - from designing the template to using the template and then executing! My step-by-step instructions make it a breeze to follow. I have included 2 pre-made Monarch Butterfly templates for you to use if you choose to skip the template design sections. Start with the larger template first or challenge yourself with the smaller template.

Absolutely! I bet you your butterfly doesn't look like mine. I think you'll find it invaluable to see how I got from a flat sheet of paper to a full butterfly sculpture. Challenge yourself and see how small you can make your butterfly!

Show the most gorgeous insect in all lands in your projects with this design. Created as a Circles on Quilts design to create Mandala shapes in 3 sizes. But wait that is not all you can use just half the butterfly to show in flight or sitting designs.

With summer in full swing, many more species of butterflies and moths are appearing in the landscape around us. Evoke those bold summertime colors and create your own prismatic butterfly with this fun activity!

Enclose your creation by placing another laminating sheet overtop of it. Cut out your butterfly and place it in the window! Make more than one and consider resizing the print to make different sized butterflies. Have fun!

Since she is already watching the butterfly lifecycle at school and is very interested in it, I decided we would make a butterfly suncatcher together to go along with what she is learning in class. She loves making suncatchers, and they look so pretty hanging in the window.

My daughters have always had fun making suncatcher crafts. Over the years we have made a bunch of different sun catchers including a pumpkin suncatcher, a school bus suncatcher, a ghost suncatcher, a stars suncatcher, a shamrock suncatcher, a hearts suncatcher, a cheetah suncatcher, a B is for butterfly sun catcher and more. Clearly, my daughters enjoy making these, and this one was just as fun to make.

Print the free butterfly template directly onto the black paper. It will show up enough on black construction paper to see it and cut out the template. If you have standard 912 construction paper, you may need to trim it slightly to fit your printer.

Lay the butterfly outline on a piece of contact paper (I use the cheap stuff from the Dollar Store) with the printed side of the butterfly and the sticky side of the contact paper facing up. Have your child place tissue paper piece inside the butterfly wings.

Once your child is done filling in the wings, place another piece of contact paper on top of the project sealing the butterfly and tissue paper between the sticky sides of the contact paper. Carefully trim around the butterfly, leaving a small border of contact paper to keep the project sealed inside.

Wood bow ties and butterfly's are used not only for decorative detailing into wood furniture or serving boards, but can also be used as a structural component to stabilize cracks and imperfections in wood.

Available in a handful of styles and designs, these 1/4" thick 7.75x7.75" acrylic templates feature five different sizes of the same shape so you can choose what size best fits your project. Sizes include 4.5x2.25", 3.5x1.75", 3x1.5", 2.5x1.25" and 2x1". The interior corner radii of the template inlays are 1/16" and therefore will work best with a 1/8" end router bit.

Our inlay templates are compatible with most router inlay bit kits. Our favorite inlay bit kit is the Whiteside Machine 9500 1/8" solid brass inlay kit, but nearly any inlay specific router bit can be used. The unique design of these kits allows you to use the same bit, with an offset bearing, to cut the pocket (the female part to receive the wood inlay), then remove the bearing, shape the insert (male part) out of a different piece, then mate them together for a perfect (or near perfect) fit. Highland Woodworking has a great YouTube video demonstrating on how this inlay router bit works with inlay templates here.

The Crafted Elements line of laser cut acrylic router templates are precision cut templates designed especially for woodworkers. Unless you have access to a CNC machine in your shop these templates are the easiest, most accurate and most repeatable way to shape wood and wood+resin pieces into things like charcuterie boards, serving trays, handles, functional art and more.

Reduce errors, inaccuracy and problems with making complex shapes perfectly symmetrical. We even have templates to match many of our awkwardly shaped silicone molds, so you can cut and shape pieces of wood to fit perfectly snug within our molds before you pour your resin.

My daughter brought this DIY Paper Butterfly Craft idea to me for a butterfly themed birthday party for her daughter (my grand!). Nana loves to have a craft when the grands come so this was a great help. This birthday theme was featured on the post you can find by clicking this link.

This DIY Paper Butterfly Craft with a free template is so easy and yet so amazing. The mechanics of this craft are simple, a set of two straws with one sliding inside the other. But the results are cool- with the child able to flap the butterfly wings as they move it through the air.

Open the split in the small straw, slide it over the body of the butterfly on the underside of the butterfly. Tape this in place using packing tape, placing tape over the end of the straw on each side of the butterfly body. 5376163bf9
