About Daniel Wall-DeSousa

Mr. Daniel Wall-DeSousa is a career educator with a plan of action for Brevard Public Schools. Dan has been teaching for over 15-years in Brevard County and is a two-time Teacher of the Year. He currently serves Brevard Public Schools as a Teacher Technology Integrator at the district offices. Dan has taught at Southwest Middle School, serving as the Science Department Chairman, as well as Heritage High School serving as a chemistry instructor and later the high school’s testing coordinator.

Daniel Wall-DeSousa is often described as a life-longer learner. Daniel completed his undergraduate studies at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts where he graduated with honors as summa cum laude. Daniel pursued graduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and later at Nova Southeastern University earning his Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership. Daniel teaching certification includes Earth and Space Science, Chemistry, Educational Leadership, and holds an ESOL endorsement.

In his current role as a Technology Integrator, Daniel works with teachers, administrators, and parents at eleven Brevard Public Schools most of which are located in School Board District 5. In addition to ensuring that each student is supported with educational technology, Dan offers professional development for teachers and administrators seeking to learn new skills to better equip our students with the technology skills necessary to compete in an ever changing world.

Dan is the first person in his family to graduate from college. His parents, Dan and June, live in Viera, Florida. His parents worked hard for their entire life to ensuring Daniel had the opportunity to pursue his dreams. Daniel is continually inspired by his parents love and commitment as they approach their 50th wedding anniversary. Dan is happily married to his spouse Scott; the two are looking forward to adopting and growing their family.

Daniel Wall-DeSousa is committed to the American Dream. As the first generation born in the United States, Dan believes in our country’s future and prosperity. He is a United States Army Veteran serving overseas in Korea in the early 1990’s. Daniel earned his Paratrooper Badge, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and the Army NCO Professional Development Ribbon during his tour of service.

Daniel is committed to serve Brevard Public Schools. He has worked with the students and parents in District 5 for the majority of his career and is looking forward to serving in kind as District 5’s School Board Member beginning in 2018.
