Walk Pals does not currently include public chat, private messaging, public profiles, or user accounts.
Walk Pals is designed for young users, including children.
The application is intended to use privacy protections appropriate for a child-directed experience.
Walk Pals does not intentionally use children's information for personalized or interest-based advertising.
Where supported by Google Mobile Ads, advertising requests are configured with child-appropriate treatment and restrictive ad content settings.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy with their children.
The Privacy Policy acknowledgement shown inside Walk Pals is not intended to replace any parental consent or other consent that may be legally required.
Walk Pals may display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
Advertisements may include:
Banner ads
Native ads
Interstitial ads
Google and its advertising technology may process limited technical information necessary to provide, secure, measure, and manage advertisements.
Depending on the device, location, applicable law, and Google services involved, this may include information such as:
Basic device information
IP address or approximate network information
App and advertising interaction information
Diagnostic information
Advertising performance information
Walk Pals does not intentionally configure advertising to create personalized advertising profiles for children.
Google's own privacy policies and advertising policies govern information processed directly by Google.
Walk Pals uses Google's privacy and consent tools where applicable.
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) may display privacy or consent options depending on the user's region and applicable requirements.
Users or parents may also be able to access Privacy Options from within Walk Pals when those options are available.
Accepting the Walk Pals Privacy Policy inside the app is separate from any consent collected or managed through Google's privacy tools.
Walk Pals connects to remote configuration services to receive operational settings such as:
App availability
Minimum supported app version
Update information
Advertising configuration
Advertising placement settings
Privacy Policy version information
Walk Pals currently uses remotely hosted configuration files delivered through services such as GitHub and jsDelivr.
These services may receive standard technical network information, such as an IP address, when the device requests a configuration file.
Walk Pals does not use the remote configuration system to create user profiles or store children's account information.
Walk Pals includes a feature that allows users to create an image of their Walker and share it.
When the user chooses to share, Walk Pals uses the device's operating-system sharing interface.
Walk Pals itself does not operate a public social network and does not automatically upload shared Walker images to a Walk Pals server.
The user chooses which external application or service receives the shared content.
Because Walk Pals is intended for young users, children should ask a parent or guardian before sharing content outside the app.
External apps used for sharing have their own privacy policies and practices.
Walk Pals may use third-party technology necessary to provide app functionality.
Current services may include:
Used to display advertising.
Used to provide privacy and consent choices where required.
May provide Android platform functionality used by the application.
May host remote configuration information used by Walk Pals.
May provide a backup delivery location for remote configuration.
These third parties operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
Information stored locally by Walk Pals generally remains on the device until:
The user deletes or changes it
App data is cleared
The application is uninstalled
The app replaces cached configuration with newer information
Walk Pals does not currently maintain a user-account database containing children's profiles.
Data processed independently by third-party providers may be retained according to those providers' own policies.
We take reasonable steps to design Walk Pals in a privacy-conscious way.
However, no application, device, network connection, or online service can guarantee absolute security.
Users should keep their devices updated and protected.
Walk Pals may open external services, such as:
Google Play
System sharing applications
Privacy-related webpages
Once a user leaves Walk Pals, the privacy practices of the external service apply.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of external websites and applications.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Walk Pals changes or when legal, privacy, advertising, or platform requirements change.
When significant changes are made, Walk Pals may ask users to review the updated Privacy Policy again.
The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
