Information: A page from the journal of Louise Peterson, founder of the Walker Creek Rebellion in 1955. These pages, dated 9/16 and 9/17 respectively, chronicle Louise's first attempt at hijacking the Walker Creek Broadcast Station.
Transcript: "9/16/55. I must write quickly, we have stolen the equipment needed to take the WCBS. I regard William as a near genius for his plans. I could never have spread my message without him. I was lucky that he did not doubt me, even at the start. I could watch him work for hours and still not understand a thing. What we have built with the others here is remarkable. I only hope we can grow our numbers before it is too late. This is all a gamble for revenge. Everyone has been affected by these creatures. It is time we affect them. I do worry we won't get the chance. Our threats must have garnered attention. We need more time. We need more numbers. But we will make do. I only hope for revenge. We will inflict the same suffering on them that they did on us. It is time according to William. I pray for our success.Â
9/17/55. We did it! It was a great thrill. I made William wear a mask for protection. I worry about being discovered, but for now, we are safe. Steve has set several traps anyway. My heart has been racing since last night. When I was out today, people were talking in hushed whispers about the event. They claimed it was 'Experimental fiction', but I feel that not all believe. This is no "War Of The Worlds". We are changing Walker Creek for the better. We will destroy those that oppose us. We are planning more broadcasts, real attacks, and more. This is my place in the world."
