I created this poster series using examples of female objectification in Urdu poetry and used those lines to create visuals highlighting the emotions of the “muse” or “subject.” To highlight the morbid nature of this behavior, I created geometric protrusions extending out of each poster, highlighting certain body parts that are excessively objectified as a metaphorical dismembering of the feminine self.

 The visual style is a nod to the Pakistani Weekly Women’s Digest magazine covers featuring floral imagery, heavy traditional garb, and low-res, textured photography.
