Message from the trustees
Libraries are an important, vital community institution that provide support in a variety of ways; not just to borrow books. Libraries today are more technologically oriented and serve more as media centers. They have many resources which our community needs more than ever, like tax help, free textbooks for college courses, job-finding assistance, access to notary public's and so much more. The Wadleigh Memorial Library is a wonderful location that needs to expand and continue to grow into the 21st century. No one should be deprived in the age of information.
We are repairing, renovating, and expanding the Wadleigh Memorial Library to invest in our community. This project is very different from prior efforts because we have involved residents and local business owners from the beginning of this two year process. We listened to the voices of the Milford voters and designed a plan that will solve our space and facility needs, and better serve the library patrons of all ages and the community at large.
