Timeline:
My memories of this trip are somewhat hazy. We hiked from Horse Camp to Helen Lake the day before and camped in the snow. There were crowds. I had a solo tent. I wore Koflachs. The next morning we went through the Red Banks and to the summit of Shasta. I remember climbing with René while Lanier and Lisa were way ahead of us.
