Use Vuforia Engine to build Augmented Reality Android, iOS, and UWP applications for mobile devices and AR glasses. Apps can be built with Unity, Android Studio, Xcode, and Visual Studio. Vuforia Engine can be easily imported into Unity by downloading and double-clicking the .unitypackage below.

The Vuforia Engine is available as a .unitypackage that can be imported into your Unity project from the menu Assets -> Import Package -> Custom Package.... Importing the package will let a script make the necessary changes in your Unity project to install or upgrade to the latest Vuforia Engine SDK.

I also faced this issue recently after upgrading unity 5.2.2 to 5.5.1initially, I thought it's Vuforia software bug and replaced it with an earlier version of Vuforia but no use. In my case, I have a problem with the Unity Version. I was using unity version 2020.1.4f1, Once I tried with version 2019.4.9f1(LTS), I was able to export ARCamera. Go to the Game Object -> Vuforia Engine and select ARCamera.

Is there a folder in Assets called Vuforia? If not, you need to install the asset library by downloading from inside the Vuforia developer portal. If there is a "Vuforia" folder, the library seems corrupt so reinstall. You will need to import the vuforia asset library into every project you start in Unity.

So in Unity you can use ModelTargets which are generated with PVZ model. But the augmentation is based on the unity functionality and so far I know it still does not support PVZ (as native functionality). Possibly there are some commercial provider who provides some convert filter or tools to the supported in Unity formats

So possibly you can use your cad app to export your files to one of these formats. e.g. using some converter tools or e.g. form the native application. For example in Creo Parametric you can use "save as" functionality to save a model to specific format e.g. obj format which is supported by Unity 3D directly. But you can use the blender cad app as intermediate tool where you can export to some of the formats what is supported by blender and then import this file to blender app where you can save it for further usage in unity.

Regarding Creo Illustrate - so published files will be available only for the pvz format and could not be loaded directly to Unity 3d. You can check if there are some third party assets for unity which allows usage of PVZ files.. So far I know there are no such assets provided by PTC.

In the portal, developers have access to the Vuforia Engine Forums where they can join community discussions, a library with in-depth documentation on all the Vuforia Engine Features, and the Vuforia Target Manager where users can create their own custom Targets.
