A "Brand Style Guide" dictates the consistency of the theme, logo, color and typography for Vue Fine Art & Design to be recognizable and memorable.

Throughout my life I have always been in “awe” of the celestial wonders in GOD’s universe, the giver of life and light. Being inspired by the scientific study of Astronomy, especially Heliophysics, the sun and its properties of light and color have filled me with joy and inspiration as well as teaching the psychological effects different colors have on every part of our lives.
My 3rd grade science project “Light & Color Theory” was about the tiny, but magnificent “sliver” of our electromagnetic spectrum of wavelengths that allows all living creatures the ability to see. With my concepts and my dad’s engineering, my project demonstrated the “Additive” color theory of light in which three wavelengths of light (Red, Green and Blue) were combined to create white light.
According to Astrology (which I find the historical connections to ancient Greco-Roman mythology and Astronomy very interesting), I am a Leo, the fifth sign of the zodiac.
Symbol: Lion
Celestial Body: The Sun
Body Part: Heart
Mode + Element: Fixed + Fire
Mantra: “I will”
Leos are generally warm, enthusiastic, creative, and talented people with magnetic personalities. While in their “zone” they gravitate to “center stage”. Leos are ambitious and their lion strength of purpose allows them to accomplish a great deal.
“Vue” (noun) in Vue Fine Art & Design is translated in French as sight, the ability to see, the act or power of seeing, to gaze, to look, a view, an outlook, etc. i.e., avoir une vue magnifique! (to have a magnificent view!) and À première vue! (At first sight!) —Cambridge French–English
My purpose is to create and provide an education network of fine art and design to serve lifelong learners with high quality resources and creative inspirations to connect with them on an emotional level. I showcase my own, but mainly other’s abilities as artists, designers and educators. More philosophy.
For the visual foundation, I chose to “reflect” colors of the sun and my journey to pursue light, learning, and strength to be my best self with a symbolic classical architectural style academy museum with the entablature supported by four caryatid-like winged lions becoming one with nature and surrounded by the warmth of the sun. The revolving sun and its sound are by NASA and the nature photos and video are ours. The end of the trailer is our scenic "vue" of Valley Falls below.
Vue Fine Art & Design continues to be inspired by experiences and organizations in which learning excellence, professionalism, and integrity are standard. The network was first developed in 2002 as an e-portfolio promoting fine art, design, and education for everyone. By 2003, it quickly served as an instructional tool accessible inside and outside the classroom with a repository of resources collected and shared during planning and instruction.
Strong brands have clearly identifiable colors, logos, and typefaces that make visual identity easily recognizable. Below is a screen shot of color content in the guide. Since color is crucial to the rapid recognition of a brand, it’s important to use the colors correctly with the RGB, HEX, CMYK, and LAB codes for web and print design, as well as primary, secondary, accent, and background colors for contrast and readability.
"Typography distinguishes a brand from the crowd, conveying brand personality in an instant, attracting and holding audience’s attention, building recognition, establishing a sense of occasion, structuring information, and promoting understanding." —Hubspot.

Great Vibes as an italic secondary font to provide the "elegance" I like to communicate, reflecting the different tones my brand may need to strike. It is not as easy to read, nor a readily available "formal" serif font so it must be fairly large in point size to work well in print or digital screens. This typeface is too hard to read as body copy.

Arial: Point Size 16/22 (Leading 22) Spacing 1.5: MATCHLESS IN POWER among the arts of men is our art of Printing. In its higher influence it is the chief servant of all that is divine in man. If we would, we may through printing types confer with all the choice spirits of proceeding ages and learn all the knowledge acquired by men from the dawn of civilization. This is the sober truth. This is a marvelous truth. Fully comprehended it may open to a printer a vista of profound sentiment and invest his occupation with a sacred character. The most influential product of printing art is books. There were countless books before the invention of printing, but let it be remembered that typography is merely timesaving inscribing, and that writing is man’s most important invention. By that invention humanity was advanced from a limited instinctive intelligence, inadequate to lift it out of barbarism into the boundless arena of progressive knowledge and invention, renewing and advancing civilization in every generation wherever the art of inscribing was freely employed. The invention of printing illimitably increased the educative power of books. Pedagogues of every degree are taught by printing. Their real task is to teach.
