You're actually on this web page? Uh Hi...
Well, since you're here I want to share some Vrkout lore
Vrkout was created as a jam game for the 2016 Unreal Engine May game jam (they used to host one every month!) The theme of the jam was "What goes up must come down"
It was mentioned during the livestream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QFwKufIZLU&t=3654s (Also, it's a coincidence that the video clip from Vrkout starts playing the moment he mentions it! (Timestamp 5097s proves that it just happened to be next up in the video loop!))
That was 5 years ago... "Vrkout: 5 years in the making" ;-)
In 2019 I attempted to release Vrkout on Oculus Rift. I added a Squat History feature, where after each set of squats, the date and number of squats is recorded. I also made the difficulty (depth of squat) adjustable. Understandably, it was rejected. (Although I was able to give out game keys and people could download it through Oculus interface)
In early 2021 I released Vrkout for free on Sidequest. (It was mostly just and exercise in optimizing a project to run on Quest hardware)
Mid 2021 sidenote: I released https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/4385310621483433/
In late 2021 I added hand-tracking, a floating widget (it indicates how deep you are in the squat and squat threshold), and a Daily and a Lifetime Squat counter. (Plus the ability to mute the music) And submitted for release on AppLab
I'm putting a price tag of 3$ on it. I feel good about this price. I feel like there is 3$ worth of value here.
