About Me
I'm Dr. Virendra P. Vishwakarma, a Professor from University School of Information, Communication & Technology (USIC&T), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University, New Delhi, India. I was awarded with the letter of appreciation for the faculty achievement award for the year 2018-19 in GGSIP University. I also worked as Head, University IT Services Cell, GGSIP University from Mar. 2015 to July 2019. I joined USIC&T, GGSIP University as an Associate Professor in Sep. 2013. Prior to joining GGSIP University, I worked as a Professor in the department of CSE at Indraprastha Engineering College Ghaziabad, India from Dec. 2012 to Aug. 2013. I was with department of CSE at Amity School of Engineering & Technology, New Delhi, and Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida from 2002 to 2010 and from July 2010 to Dec 2012 respectively. From 1996 to 2000, I was in Research Design and Standards Organization, Ministry of Railways, India, where I worked on many research projects. I was awarded with “Distinguished Service Certificates” for specific contributions there for years 1998 and 2000. I also worked as Senior Engineer in R&D division of Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited, Gurgaon, India in year 2002. My area of research includes digital image processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning. I am member of IEEE and life member of ACEEE India, IACSIT Singapore, Computer Society of India.
