Brief Biography

Jason Mata grew up in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from Fox Tech High school and attended ITT Technical Institute. He has lived in district 5 for more than 30 years and has over 20 years of professional experience of working in the nonprofit sector. Jason Mata has worked in many fields of needs including public safety, Youth Development and family strengthening initiatives. Jason and his family are small business owners, devoted Christians, and a military family. Jason Mata is an Experienced Community Activist with an abundance of passion to help the District five Community!

Through his work with the non-profit sector Jason has worked with many community members who needed assistance with a wide range of social services including food security, youth services, community safety, and leadership development. Jason is also a small business owner that employs local vendors and looks to promote Economic Equality.

Jason has vast experience in numerous fields that directly impact District 5 and works to improve the everyday quality of life for all constituents.

District 5 needs an experienced fighter who can not only identify but prioritize urgent matters and work to find solutions. I will make sure that District five stays relevant and viable at city hall.
