RE-ELECT LUIS URIBE FOR RIVERBANK CITY COUNCIL — DISTRICT 1
Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026
As your Riverbank City Councilmember, my mission is to continue building a safe, vibrant, and inclusive community where every resident feels heard and valued. I’m committed to responsible growth, investing in public safety and parks, supporting local businesses, and ensuring our city remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
With your support, I will keep working hard for Riverbank’s future.
Councilmember Luis Uribe has proudly called Riverbank home since 2009. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Modesto Junior College. Elected to the Riverbank City Council in 2018, he has since been deeply involved in various city initiatives and community organizations.
Councilmember Uribe is dedicated to enhancing Riverbank's infrastructure and environment. His current projects include the revitalization of Castleberg Park, improvements to citywide technology and security, and attracting green industries to create local jobs while promoting environmental sustainability.
A passionate advocate for responsible growth, he prioritizes increasing housing options, revitalizing parks, and fostering public-private partnerships to support local businesses. Outside of his public service, Councilmember Uribe enjoys Taekwondo, stock market trading, and cherishes time with his loving wife and daughter, Vyvyana.
Everyone deserves a pathway to stability. That’s why I’ve strongly advocated for Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funds to support Sierra House — a transformative workforce development program that equips unhoused individuals with the training and tools needed to rebuild their lives. By channeling resources into programs like this, we’re not just addressing homelessness; we’re investing in human potential and restoring dignity through opportunity.
Recreation should be welcoming for everyone — that’s why I’ve championed major upgrades across Riverbank’s parks. From expanding Castleberg Park and installing outdoor exercise equipment to resurfacing the basketball courts, these enhancements promote health, play, and community. But equity doesn’t stop at amenities: I’ve prioritized accessibility by replacing bark with poured-in-place rubber surfacing, ensuring children and families using wheelchairs can enjoy our parks with ease and dignity. Riverbank’s green spaces are now safer, stronger, and truly inclusive.
For the past three years, I’ve led sustained efforts to clear and maintain the Stanislaus River corridor — a critical initiative for public safety, environmental health, and community well-being. The area has faced significant challenges, including debris, fire risks, and hazardous materials like needles and human waste. I’ve worked to coordinate cleanups while advocating for long-term solutions that balance compassion for those experiencing homelessness with the urgent need to protect our residents, parks, and waterways. This work isn’t finished — and I remain committed to keeping the river safe, clean, and accessible for everyone.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, I launched a free community BBQ to help residents reconnect and heal from the isolation of lockdowns.
Investing in law enforcement means investing in community security. I championed the deployment of license plate reading (LPR) cameras throughout our city, ensuring our Sheriff’s Department has access to cutting-edge technology that aids in crime prevention and rapid response. In parallel, I advocated for appropriate staffing levels to make certain that the necessary personnel backs these tools, reinforcing a safer, smarter Riverbank.
I believe real leadership means showing up — not just in meetings, but in moments of action. I spent time alongside Riverbank’s brave firefighters, riding along to an active fire and experiencing the intensity, courage, and coordination required to protect our community. That experience deepened my commitment to supporting their essential work with the resources, recognition, and respect they deserve.
