Meet Shirrelle
The woman who wishes to contribute to the solution rather than the issues...
Shirrelle O. Moore-Mmasi is happily married and has three grown children, five "bonus" children, seven grandkids, three foster children and amazing parents. She was born and raised in Los Angeles with her twin sister, two other sisters, and a younger brother. Stanislaus County is where she lives. She came to Oakdale eight years ago after living in Modesto for more than 20 years. She has lived in Germany and Panama for more than six years and has traveled to Mexico, Paris, Holland, and Kenya. In her free time, she loves to see the world, dance, swim, camp, go on hikes, and relax with her loved ones. She has met many interesting individuals from all walks of life during her travels.
She brings with her a wealth of ability from the Bay Area where she served as executive assistant to presidents at major corporations such as Applied Materials, nChip, and Matteson for over ten years. Her ability also includes more than a decade managing teams from Kern, Monterey, San Joaquin, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties while working in sales and marketing for the famous Yellow Pages.
Her academic and professional endeavors have been focused on giving marginalized communities advice on how to raise their level of living, either through group projects or individual guidance.
She has worked in philanthropy since she was a small child, helping local groups and the "at-risk" community in marginalized communities with health care, education, and job goals.
As part of an endeavor to bridge the gap that exists between students, families, and the administration for the "at risk" children and increase the proportion of high school graduates and college-bound students, she and her twin sister launched Project Success Academy, an after-school program, several years ago.
Later, in a nearby Modesto church, they founded a ministry named Debutantes for Christ, with the mission of inspiring and motivating "at risk" youth to dream big, be inspired, and pursue their dreams.
She adores her family, and loves to participate in Oakdale's community. At one point, she even joined her grandmother and her sister as members of the Modesto Red Hat Ladies. In addition to being a founder of Women Unified Nationally and a member of the Oakdale Sunrise Rotary, she also plays with the Oakdale Broncos Granny Basketball Team and is the creator of the NGO STONES Inc. She spends time at her favorite coffee shop in town, Seed2Cup owned by Alan Allen and Elizabeth May and plays BUNCO once a month with an elite, entertaining group of women to engage with her community.
As the Oakdale candidate for Oak Valley District Hospital, Shirrelle is dedicated to including all viewpoints so that everyone can prosper in our neighborhoods.
Come along!
Shirrelle on the Issues
Shirrelle has a history of standing up for the rights and liberties of the locals and is a staunch supporter of the Oak Valley Hospital District. Regardless of riches or adversity, she is an advocate for communities where everyone can live in peace and safety. Because of her dedication to raising people's standards of living, Shirrelle is an advocate for the voice of the people in her community.
CYBERATTACKS AND DATA BREACH
Shirrelle is a fervent supporter of proper IT upkeep with businesses, feeling that Oak Valley Hospital's network resources need to be safeguarded for future generations by guaranteeing that we have the most recent technology. She is in favor of environmentally friendly procedures that safeguard computers and other equipment to guarantee the security of all hospital technology, regardless of size.
CUSTOMER & PATIENT SATISFACTION
Shirrelle believes that patients should be given priority, that employees should be paid with respect, and that hospital systems should be safeguarded from unwanted access. The Human Resources and Information Technology departments need to be managed on the basis of mutual respect and understanding rather than violent fear. Cohabitation is something that she pushes for, highlighting the fact that patients should be provided with equal opportunities to live in a secure setting that is filled with love and harmony with everyone, and the environment should be free from stigma and prejudice.
HEALTHCARE
Shirrelle is of the opinion that everyone should be able to take pleasure in and have access to nourishing food, clean environs, and excellent care from the medical personnel at the hospital. In this culture, she is an advocate for the traditional concepts of nutrition and patient care, which she believes are just as vital as the happiness and satisfaction of all parties involved. Keep in mind that the act of just exchanging a smile and a warm embrace with another person may have a significant impact on the process of healing the heart.
My Priorities
Would have fiduciary responsibility to the District as a Board member. The district's citizens trust the Board to represent their interests. In my capacity as a Board member, I have an obligation to manage the district with the same consideration, prudence, and judgment that a reasonable person would use in the same situation. This includes:
Quality and Patient Safety
I can continue to emphasize patient safety and quality by putting resources for safe care at the ready, keeping medical staff members responsible, and placing a high value on performance improvement as a Board member.
Disease Prevention
I can keep pushing people to adhere to preventative care guidelines and raise public knowledge of illness prevention as a Board member.
Mental Health Care
I can keep expanding access to resources and services for mental health treatment as a Board member.
Positive Change
I can keep advocating for improvements in the health of locals and employees as a Board member.
Fiscal Responsibility
I can continue to make prudent financial judgments as a Board member.
Service Expansion
Board members have the power to preserve and grow community-based programs.
