May 20, 2024 - PUBLIC STATEMENT
We are glad that the court is looking at this important issue of an election determined by only 14 votes that had significant abnormalities and maladministration.
The case was delayed for over a month because Mr. Long evaded service, although he clearly read the entire filing (which was published in full in many of the local news outlets), because he gave his opinion on the legal merits of the case only two days after it was filed. The Sheriff's office attempted to serve him three times, leaving a note on his gate, but he never responded. Similarly, he stopped attending meetings of the Grant Elementary School Board and we were unable to serve him there. It wasn't until May 2nd (1 month after the initial filing) that we were finally able to serve him and the case could move forward.
We were heartened today by the fair-minded treatment of the Honorable Judge Baker and we feel that our requested legal remedies are more than reasonable.

Today we were unable to come to mutually agreeable terms for the hand count to occur efficiently and in complete transparency, while maintaining chain of custody. It is my hope that a recount can still occur if deemed necessary by a court of law, in such a way that evidence will be maintained.Â

As you know, the March 5th election hinged on only 14 votes, well within the 100 votes that is typical of an automatic recount, which did not occur.
After digging into the data, I also found other grounds for contesting the March 5 election, and I filed a lawsuit. This data was collected by all of you who worked so hard as election observers! This legal contest is a chance for We the People to obtain transparency and justice in our elections.
The goal is to raise enough to retain a lawyer and pay for a possible recount, that would continue this contest to the General Election in November.

League of Women Voters Candidate Forum - Laura spoke forcefully about Shasta Sovereignty, Election integrity, and the victims of the Zogg fire and the 2022 ACID Canal situation. The LWV did not want to do the Pledge of Allegiance before the start of the event, but Laura stood up and led the pledge anyway with other patriots in the crowd.

I am 100% MAGA and America First. I am a stay-at-home mom with a doctorate in microbiology. I support hand-counted, fair, and transparent elections. I will fight for the citizens of Shasta County to retain our sovereignty and all of our God-given rights. I believe in “We the People” and self-governance at the local level by duly elected officials. I will achieve transparent governance by performing an external forensic countywide audit. Laura's Background
I was born and raised in California. My grandparents moved to rural San Luis Obispo County in the 1950s and lived at the end of a two-mile dirt road. I grew up in the small town nearby. I later graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and a few years later I got my PhD in Microbiology from the University of California, Riverside. I did post-doctoral research in Europe for a few years before coming back to America and deciding to stay at home full-time with my growing family. I and my husband have been happily married for 15 years. My children are my pride and joy and I am fighting for their freedom and the freedom of everyone in Shasta County!
Proud MAGA Republican
I voted for Trump in the general election of 2016 and 2020. At the time of the primary in 2016, I was a political outsider after voting 3rd party for years. By the time of the general election in 2016, I was fully onboard the Trump train. I support Trump for the 2024 Republican primary and general election in November, without reservation. MAGA is sweeping the country again and what it means hasn’t left the hearts of millions of Americans like Laura. MAGA represents keeping boys out of girls locker rooms and keeping men out of women’s sports. MAGA means serving our country without being coerced into taking the Vax under threat of losing your job. MAGA Americans support military men and women. We understand that mask wearing and vaccines should be a personal choice, not a government mandate. MAGA means keeping jobs in this country and having fair trade agreements to protect American workers. MAGA means fair and transparent elections. MAGA Americans apply critical thinking instead of blind acceptance to laws passed by untrustworthy legislators, standing firm in our respect for the Constitution of the United States. Why are some so critical of MAGA? Do you not understand the greatest movement of our time or do you want the opposite of what MAGA means? Perhaps you conflate MAGA with President Trump. Believing that being rid of President Trump will end MAGA. Nothing could be further from the truth. President Trump is MAGA but MAGA isn’t President Trump and MAGA will continue. At the core of MAGA is love of our great country and the desire to see it continue being one of the greatest countries in the world.
