'Popped in for an impromptu lunch with family, mainly as we have a dog. What a warm welcome we received, there was a gig being set up but we were served a lovely meal from the extensive vegan menu. A good find and would highly recommend the Volunteer Tavern'.

'Okay... this was a huge surprise. I am not vegan... I am not cool... BUT! This is the most welcoming place I have been pub wise in Bristol. I moved back here a day ago... the MD greeted me, with her cousin, they let me try their food. I ordered lots... had some beers! Good times... highly recommended'
