Voltron Manga UK DVD

Released in 2008 by the infamous Manga UK, these guys tried to trademark the word Manga in the 90s it was a whole fiasco, this DVD stands as the most recent Voltron home media release in the UK. Including the First 15 episodes of Lion Force this DVD's packaging is based off of the Media Blasters Steel Book release of Dotu however this release is a proper Steel book though as a compromise is missing some of the illustrations included in the American version.

This DVD release had very low sales and so plans to release a second DVD where shelved.

Anchor Bay UK DVD

This release pre dates the Manga UK one by 3 years and includes episodes taken throughout Vehicle Voltron featuring episodes 1, 5, 6, 7 and 35.

An explanation for why Vehicle Voltron received a DVD release before Lion Force in the UK despite the other being more popular might be due to how Vehicle Voltron was aired first in some markets (and might have been produced first) source

Ep 1 In Search of New Worlds

Introductions are made, and the ongoing war between the Galaxy Alliance and the Drule Empire is established here. The Stellar Ship Explorer finds a new world. Drule Commander Quark is introduced as one of the main villains.

Ep 2 Try This World For Size

The Voltron Force came upon a planet that is seemingly barren – just one great desert. Until, that is, they stumble upon a field of vegetation complete with rockets sprinkled about. Upon further research, it’s discovered the rockets were used to shoot seedlings into the ground in an effort to jump-start the planet’s development.

Ep 3 A Storm of Meteors

Mongo has a bad dream about perishing in a meteor shower. When he awakes, he’s informed that the Explorer is enduring a storm of meteors. Mongo ceases the opportunity to attack While Voltron fends of a robeast The Explorer lands on a planet for repairs leaving Voltron to block the shower of meteors.

Ep 4 Help Not Wanted

Jeff and his team are out scouting a nearby asteroid belt while the Explorer undergoes repairs. Captain Keyo requests Voltrons help while they are under attack can Jeff save Keyo while following Hawkins orders or will some rules need to be broken.

Ep 5 Letters from Home

In this episode we get some insight on the backstories of the crew on the SS Explorer, like how Krik is the heir to a farm on Planet Hydra, Jeff has embarrasing baby pictures and Cliff used to be a clown????Conflict arrises when a shipment of mail from Earth has gone missing causing Chip to worry about his brother Pidge something Lisa is determined to solve.
