What Do SJC Community Volunteers Do?
We serve. We support. We represent the best of San Juan Capistrano.
SJC Community Volunteers are adults who contribute their time, talents, and community spirit to help make the community a warm, friendly, and vibrant place to spend time. As volunteers, we help maintain our city's appearance, safety, and charm while welcoming and assisting visitors from around the world.
We proudly serve as ambassadors of San Juan Capistrano’s history, culture, and hospitality while participating in meaningful roles throughout the city.

What Services Do We Perform?
Bike Patrol - We ride city-issued bicycles along parks and trails, removing graffiti and unauthorized signs, reporting maintenance issues, and helping keep public spaces clean, safe, and beautiful.
Visitor Information Services – Based at the Train Station Kiosk, volunteers greet and assist travelers, provide maps and brochures, and offer helpful information about local sites, dining, events, and transportation.
Special Events Support – All volunteers help with city events throughout the year—including parades, festivals, and seasonal celebrations—ensuring each event is safe, fun, and well-organized.
Sports Park Rangers / Ambassadors –Serving at the city’s Sports Park, these volunteers use an electric cart to patrol the area, assist visitors, encourage rule compliance, and report maintenance issues.
