Void ("we," "our," or "us") is built on the principle of "Privacy by Design." We believe that silence should be private. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data within the Void mobile application. Our application is engineered to function entirely on your device without the need for external data processing or personal tracking.
No Personal Information: We do not collect, store, process, or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
On-Device Processing: All calculations for your stillness sessions and timer functionalities happen locally within the app’s runtime on your device.
No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or log in to use Void.
Void includes an optional feature to interact with the Apple Health app (HealthKit) to log your stillness sessions.
Purpose: If you explicitly grant permission, Void will write your session duration as "Mindful Minutes" to your Health app so you can track your well-being.
Strict Privacy & Usage Restrictions: In strict compliance with Apple’s Developer Guidelines, Void will not use data gathered through HealthKit for marketing, advertising, or any other use-based data mining purposes. * No Third-Party Sharing: We do not disclose, share, or sell HealthKit information to any third party. Your health data never leaves your device’s encrypted Health database.
User Control: You can revoke Void’s access to HealthKit at any time through the iOS Settings or the Health app on your device.
To ensure complete transparency regarding generative content and compliance with global regulations, including the EU AI Act:
AI Generation: The ambient audio tracks provided in Void are generated using artificial intelligence tools (Suno AI).
Licensing & Copyright: All audio tracks are utilized under a valid Commercial Pro License. Void holds the necessary rights to distribute and monetize this content within the application.
Transparency: All AI-generated audio files contain machine-readable metadata and/or digital watermarks identifying them as AI-generated.
No User Input Used: We do not record your voice, nor do we send any user data to AI generation services. All audio content is pre-rendered and securely included within the application bundle.
Void offers optional "In-App Purchases" (such as a Tip Jar or Premium Icon Packs) for users who wish to support independent development.
Payment Processing: All financial transactions and contributions are processed securely by Apple through the official App Store In-App Purchase system.
No Financial Access: Void does not collect, process, or store your credit card information, billing address, or any other payment-related personal data. All such data is managed exclusively by Apple Inc. in accordance with their privacy standards.
Voluntary Nature: These payments are entirely voluntary and unlock cosmetic features (e.g., alternative application icons) without restricting the core functionality of the stillness timer.
No Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or Mixpanel) to track your behavior or app usage.
No Advertising: Void is a strictly ad-free experience. We do not share any data with advertising networks or data brokers.
Regardless of your location, you retain full control over your data:
Right to Erasure / Right to be Forgotten: Because we do not store your data on external servers, you can permanently delete all app-related data simply by uninstalling Void and removing its entries from your Apple Health app.
Right to Data Portability: Your session data is stored securely in Apple Health and can be viewed or exported directly via the official iOS Health app.
Void does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age depending on your jurisdiction). Since we collect no personal data from any user, children’s privacy is inherently protected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be indicated by a revised "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
