Welcome!
This guide was created with the intention of giving researchers interested in Pueblo Pottery a resource to learn basic information, as well as to give access to sources about Pueblo Pottery. The books are based on what is available at the Minneapolis Central Library and the Hennepin County Library System*. You can find the library's hours and contact information to the left.
This was inspired by my previous work at UW-Eau Claire where I worked with their LaBelle-Miller Pottery Collection, which has roughly 400 pieces. During my research for that collection, I came across misinformed and incorrect sources on the history and creation of Pueblo pottery. I hope to combat that by giving access to, and information about, reliable resources.
I would also like to add that this guide will barely scratch the surface of what is available for resources and will not be able to encompass every aspect of the rich and long history of Pueblo Pottery. This is merely a starting point.
Happy Researching!
