With one contested and two open seats on the Village Board, the upcoming election on April 2, 2019, offers Oak Park voters a chance to change the balance of power in Village government.

From property redevelopment to the crisis of affordability in Oak Park, it's crucial that we elect 3 new Trustees who will

  • represent our community and its values
  • bring openness, transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability to local self-government
  • work to ensure appropriate development in Oak Park that balances pressing economic priorities with our unsurpassed legacy of historic architecture, our needs for open space and natural beauty, and the attractions of pedestrian-scaled business infrastructure
