Voicely Ai ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") helps you turn spoken voice recordings into text notes and optionally improve those notes with AI.
1. Information We Collect
Microphone and audio recordings
The App requests microphone access only when you choose to record a voice note. Audio is recorded temporarily on your device so it can be sent for transcription. We do not use the microphone in the background.
Voice notes and note content
Your saved notes, titles, word counts, recording duration, pinned status, and note dates are stored locally on your device using the App database. If you choose to transcribe or enhance a note, the relevant audio or text is sent to our processing service.
AI processing data
To provide transcription and note-enhancement features, audio files and note text may be sent through our Cloudflare Worker endpoint and then to OpenRouter and the selected AI model provider. These services process the content to return a transcript, title, or improved note text.
App configuration and usage limits
The App uses Firebase Realtime Database to receive remote configuration, such as ad settings and recording-minute limits. The App also stores local usage counters, such as used voice minutes, on your device.
Analytics and crash data
The App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand basic app usage, diagnose crashes, and improve stability. This may include device information, app version, crash logs, performance information, identifiers generated by Firebase, and usage events.
Advertising data
The App uses Google AdMob to show app open ads, interstitial ads, native ads, and rewarded ads when ads are enabled. Google and its partners may collect or use advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location, and interaction data to provide, measure, and improve ads, subject to your region and consent settings.
Support emails
If you contact support from the App, your email app may include device information such as manufacturer, model, Android version, SDK version, and app package name so we can troubleshoot your issue.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
• Record and transcribe your voice notes.
• Improve and format notes when you choose to use AI enhancement.
• Save and display your notes on your device.
• Manage free voice-minute limits and rewarded-minute refills.
• Show and measure ads when enabled.
• Improve app stability, fix crashes, and understand basic usage.
• Respond to support requests.
3. Local Storage
Your saved notes are stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the App or clear app data, your locally stored notes may be deleted. The App does not provide account sync or cloud backup for your notes unless your device or operating system provides its own backup features.
4. Sharing With Service Providers
We use third-party providers to operate the App:
• Cloudflare, for routing requests to our backend worker.
• OpenRouter and AI model providers, for transcription and note enhancement.
• Firebase, for analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration.
• Google AdMob, for advertising.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
5. Data Retention
Saved notes remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the App. Temporary audio files are used for transcription and are not intended to be kept as permanent saved notes by the App. Analytics, crash, advertising, and AI processing data may be retained by the relevant service providers according to their policies.
6. Your Choices
You can:
• Deny microphone permission, although recording will not work without it.
• Edit, copy, share, or delete notes inside the App.
• Clear app data or uninstall the App to remove local app data from your device.
• Use your device settings or regional consent controls to manage ad personalization where available.
• Contact us about privacy questions.
7. Children
The App is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. Do not use the App to record or submit content from children unless you have the legal right to do so.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to operate the App and protect data in transit. However, no app, network, or service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own by our service providers. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be shown in the App with a new "Last updated" date.
