Vocab Learner là tiện ích Chrome giúp bạn học từ vựng tiếng Anh. Chính sách này giải thích tiện ích xử lý dữ liệu của bạn như thế nào.
1. Dữ liệu lưu trên máy của bạn
Sổ từ, tiến độ học, lịch ôn tập, thống kê và cài đặt được lưu trong bộ nhớ của Chrome trên chính máy bạn (chrome.storage.local). Riêng phần cài đặt được đồng bộ giữa các máy của bạn qua Chrome Sync nếu bạn bật tính năng này của Chrome. Vocab Learner không có máy chủ riêng, không yêu cầu tài khoản và không thể đọc được dữ liệu này.
2. Dữ liệu được gửi đi khi bạn tra từ
Chỉ khi bạn chủ động tra một từ hoặc một đoạn (gõ vào ô tra từ, bấm icon sau khi bôi đen, dùng phím tắt hoặc menu chuột phải), tiện ích mới gửi đúng từ hoặc đoạn đó tới các dịch vụ sau để lấy kết quả:
• Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev): nghĩa tiếng Anh, phiên âm, phát âm.
• MyMemory (mymemory.translated.net): bản dịch tiếng Việt.
• Tatoeba (tatoeba.org): câu ví dụ.
Nếu bạn tự nhập email trong Cài đặt để nâng hạn mức dịch, email đó được gửi kèm các yêu cầu dịch tới MyMemory. Đây là tùy chọn; bạn có thể xóa email bất cứ lúc nào. Các dịch vụ trên có chính sách quyền riêng tư riêng của họ.
3. Những gì tiện ích KHÔNG làm
• Không thu thập lịch sử duyệt web.
• Không gửi nội dung trang web bạn đang đọc đi đâu. Việc tô màu các từ đã học được thực hiện hoàn toàn trên máy bạn.
• Không dùng công cụ phân tích, quảng cáo hay theo dõi.
• Không bán, cho thuê hay chia sẻ dữ liệu của bạn với bên thứ ba ngoài các dịch vụ tra cứu nêu ở mục 2.
4. Lưu giữ và xóa dữ liệu
Kết quả tra cứu được lưu tạm trên máy tối đa 30 ngày để không phải tra lại. Bạn có thể xóa từng từ trong tab Sổ từ, xuất toàn bộ dữ liệu ra file Excel, hoặc gỡ tiện ích để xóa toàn bộ dữ liệu khỏi máy.
5. Thay đổi chính sách
Nếu chính sách thay đổi, phiên bản mới sẽ được đăng tại trang này kèm ngày hiệu lực mới.

Privacy Policy – Vocab Learner
Effective date: October 10, 2026
Vocab Learner is a Chrome extension for learning English vocabulary. This policy explains how it handles your data.
1. Data stored on your device
Your word list, learning progress, review schedule, statistics and settings are stored in Chrome's local storage on your own device (chrome.storage.local). Only your settings are synced across your devices via Chrome Sync, if you have it enabled. Vocab Learner has no server, requires no account, and cannot access this data.
2. Data sent when you look up a word
Only when you actively look up a word or phrase (typing it in the lookup box, clicking the icon after selecting text, or using the keyboard shortcut or right-click menu) does the extension send that exact word or phrase to the following services to get results:
• Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev): English definitions, phonetics, pronunciation.
• MyMemory (mymemory.translated.net): Vietnamese translation.
• Tatoeba (tatoeba.org): example sentences.
If you choose to enter an email in Settings to raise the translation quota, that email is sent with translation requests to MyMemory. This is optional and can be removed at any time. These services have their own privacy policies.
3. What the extension does NOT do
• It does not collect your browsing history.
• It does not send the content of pages you read anywhere. Highlighting learned words happens entirely on your device.
• It does not use analytics, advertising or tracking.
• It does not sell, rent or share your data with third parties other than the lookup services listed in section 2.
4. Retention and deletion
Lookup results are cached on your device for up to 30 days. You can delete individual words in the Word list tab, export all data to an Excel file, or uninstall the extension to remove all data from your device.
5. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
