Troubleshooting Virtual Meetings

Our association currently uses Google Meet for our virtual meetings. The links will always be posted on the Home page as well as the presentation page for that week. Simply click on the meeting link button to join us! If you have difficulty joining the meeting, here are some tips that may help. (Thank you to MTNA for these helpful tips!)

• If you have difficulty seeing or hearing the meeting, try to exit the meeting and re-enter. You may also wish to refresh your browser before re-entering.

• Google Chrome will likely work best for using Google Meet but most browsers should work. If you have difficult with another browser, try switching to Google Chrome for the meeting.

• High speed internet will be necessary. Try closing all other programs on your phone or computer before joining to reduce the demand on your computer. This includes other open browser tabs as well. Request other household members to refrain from downloading large files or streaming during the meeting. 

• Read additional helpful tips from MTNA here. Additionally, you can troubleshoot Google Meet by "googling" your question. 

• If you are a presenter, please test your presentation prior to the meeting. If you plan to use sound or play a video, please use either OBS or open the video/file in a separate tab within Google Chrome - the same browser you should use to participate in the meeting. Plan to join the meeting at 9:45am on your scheduled presentation date so that we can test prior to the meeting start. If you'd like to test your  presentation  prior to the meeting date, feel free to reach out to a board member and we will be happy to get that scheduled!
