6th Workshop on

Nonlinear Dispersive Equations

In Memoriam of Rafael José Iório Jr. (1947-2023)

November 4-8, 2024

 São Paulo - Brazil

The 6th Workshop on Nonlinear Dispersive Equations will take place at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo (IME-USP) in São Paulo. The past editions were held at the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computation (IMECC) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), at the Casa da Ciência of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and at the Institute of Exact Sciences (ICEx) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).

The study of nonlinear dispersive equations has attracted a significant number of researchers worldwide. In Brazil, the research field was introduced in the mid-80s and one of the pioneers in this study was our honored Professor Rafael José Iório Jr (IMPA). Since then, numerous researchers in universities and research institutions throughout Brazil have actively worked in this area, making important contributions to its development.

Our goal with this workshop is to promote close relationships between Brazilian and foreign researchers working in this area, promoting recent activities among both senior and young researchers, including postgraduate students.

The event will take place at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo. Click on the link to view the exact venue of the event.
