Jeffrey Pagne, Grade 11 student was able to defeat his opponents during the tryout session for boxing at Belarmino Sports Complex, Vito L. Belarmino Senior High School, in preparation for the Batang Pinoy Games 2023 this coming December. Jeffrey showed his stable boxing stances and powerful punches and uppercuts to defeat his contenders. Mr. Gilbert Pajara will be his coach for the said competition.
On the other news, Jomar Palma, Grade 12 student is one of the referee during the tryout session in boxing. He underwent officiating training under the World Boxing Council Philippines.
Aside from boxing, the complex was also used as the venue for tryouts for Wushu Sanda and Muay Thai for Batang Pinoy Games of which Dr. Yap headed the selection team.

VLBSHS Brigada Eskwela 2023 was a success through the strong community partnerships under the leadership of Dr. Johannsen C. Yap, the current Assistant School Principal II and Officer-in-charge of the school.
The school last School Year 2022-2023 partnered with the Philippine Red Cross and established its Red Cross Youth with Mrs. Joan Marah J. Andaya as the RCY Adviser. Grade 11 and 12 Sports Track students learned and practiced proper and correct first aid procedures. The trainings provided will be beneficial in their studies and chosen careers in the future.
Dr. Johannsen C. Yap participated in the Division-level Performance Management Planning for School Heads at Travellers Hotel, Subic Bay, Olongapo City from September 20-22, 2023.
The seminar was hosted by the Schools Division Office with the lead officer Mr. Fredie V. Avendano, ASDS for Secondary Schools. The lead Public Schools District Supervisors of the six congressional districts also participated and presented their reports on the opening of classes.
School Heads submitted their outputs on school planning management via Google Forms as part of completing the workshops of the said seminar.
