SUMMARY: Vitals: Health & Pulse Log stores all your health data locally on your device. We do not sell any personal health information. Data is only transmitted to third-party services with your explicit consent (e.g., for AI-powered health insights).
1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy describes how Vitals: Health & Pulse Log ("the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Health Data (Stored Locally Only)
The App allows you to record: blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar, SpO2, body temperature, BMI, and activity data.
All health data is stored exclusively on your device using CoreData. We do not transmit any health data to external servers by default.
2.2 Camera Access
The App uses your rear camera and flash to measure heart rate via PPG technology. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
2.3 Apple HealthKit
With your permission, the App may read/write data from Apple HealthKit (step count, heart rate). This data is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
2.4 Location Access
With your permission, the App may access your location to track running and walking distance for activity monitoring. Location data is processed locally and is never transmitted to external servers.
2.5 Notifications
With your permission, the App may send local push notifications for daily health alarms. No notification data is transmitted externally.
2.6 Subscription Information
Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed by RevenueCat. We do not access your payment or Apple ID information.
2.7 User Preferences
Stored locally: language, health goals, notification settings, activity goals, and family profile names.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- Display health metrics and history within the App
- Calculate health classifications and insights
- Send local notification reminders (if enabled)
- Track walking/running distance for activity goals (if location permission granted)
- Generate personalized health insights using AI (only with your explicit consent)
- Generate PDF exports (shared only by your action)
4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell or trade your personal health data. Data may be shared in the following limited cases:
- AI Health Insights (Optional): If you choose to use the AI Health Insights feature, only anonymous, raw heart rate and blood pressure numbers are securely transmitted to Google's Gemini AI service to generate personalized wellness tips. **We do NOT send your name, age, sex, or any other personally identifiable information.** This raw numerical data is only processed in real-time to generate your result and is NOT stored, retained, or used by Google for any other purposes. You can grant or revoke this AI permission at any time in the App's Settings.
- User-Initiated: Data is shared when you explicitly initiate it (e.g., exporting PDF).
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- All data stored locally using Apple CoreData
- Protected by your device security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
- Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

8. YOUR RIGHTS
- Delete all health data through History or by uninstalling
- Revoke camera, HealthKit, location, and notification permissions via iOS Settings
- Enable/Disable AI Insights data sharing at any time in App Settings
- Disable notifications at any time
- Export your data in PDF format (Premium)
