1. Introduction
Welcome to the Visiting Card, QR and Barcode ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App on Apple iOS devices.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you disagree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
This policy applies to the iOS version distributed via the Apple App Store. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Depending on which features you use, the App may process:
- Camera and photos: Images you capture or import for visiting card scanning, QR/barcode scanning, logos, or template generation.
- Visiting card/contact fields: Name, designation, company, phones, emails, websites, addresses (typed by you or extracted by OCR).
- QR and barcode content: Values you create or scan.
- Contact data (optional): Saved to iOS Contacts only if you choose “Save Contact.”
- Templates and assets: Template choice, logo, and embedded QR images.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device model, iOS version, app version, language.
- Crash/diagnostic data if diagnostics are enabled in a future update.
- Network information (for example IP/connection type) when you open links or use network features.
- We do not collect precise GPS location. Opening Maps uses Apple Maps / your browser under their terms.
2.3 iOS Permissions
The App requests Apple system permissions only when needed:

You can revoke permissions in Settings → Privacy & Security. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide visiting card scan, OCR, edit, template generation, download, and share.
- Provide QR and barcode scan, create, customize, save, download, and share.
- Organize items in on-device folders and Recent.
- Optionally write contacts to your Contacts app when you request it.
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and respond to support requests.
- Enforce our Terms and comply with law.
4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
4.1 Google ML Kit
- On-device text recognition (OCR) for visiting cards.
- OCR runs on your device in normal use.
4.2 Camera / QR–Barcode Libraries
- On-device scanning of QR codes and barcodes from the camera or imported images.
4.3 Apple
- Distribution and system services (App Store, share sheet, Photos, Contacts, printing) are provided by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
4.4 Service Providers
We may use hosting or support providers bound by confidentiality obligations.
4.5 Legal Disclosure
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the public, or our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 On Your Device (Local-First)
By default, cards, QR/barcode files, and folders are stored in app-accessible storage on your iPhone or iPad (and locations you choose when exporting, e.g. Photos or Files). You control deletion via the App or by uninstalling.
5.2 Security Measures
- HTTPS/TLS when data is sent over the network.
- App sandbox storage and OS access controls.
No system is 100% secure. Protect your device passcode and Apple ID.
5.3 Retention

6. Your Privacy Rights and Controls
- Delete content in the App or uninstall the App.
- Manage notifications and permissions in iOS Settings.
- Contact us for privacy requests.
Regional Rights:
- EU/UK (GDPR): Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know, delete, and non-discrimination; we do not sell personal information.
- Canada (PIPEDA): Access, correction, and withdrawal of consent where applicable.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided data; we will delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than your own when you use network features or third-party SDKs. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
9. App Tracking
We do not use the App for cross-app advertising tracking and do not request App Tracking Transparency for third-party ad tracking in the current version.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will update the “Last Updated” date and, where required, use in-app notice or consent. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Third-Party Links
Third-party sites or apps opened from the app are not controlled by us.
