Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Visiting Card, QR and Barcode ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and associated services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you disagree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Depending on which features you use, the App may process the following:
Camera and photos
- When you capture, import, or upload images using the visiting card scanner, QR/barcode scanner, or gallery picker, we process those images on your device for preview, cropping, OCR, scanning, and template generation.
- When you save or download, images may be written to app storage and, if you choose, to your device gallery.
Visiting card/contact data
- Name, designation, company, tagline, phone numbers, emails, websites, and addresses that you enter or that are extracted via OCR from a scanned visiting card.
- Optional contact data if you choose to save a visiting card to your phone Contacts.
QR and barcode data
- Content you enter to create QR codes or barcodes (for example: text, URL, Wi‑Fi, contact, phone, email).
- Values detected when you scan a QR code or barcode with the camera or from an imported image.
Templates and design assets
- Template selections, logo images, and QR images you place on a visiting card template.
- Customized QR/barcode designs you create and save.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information
- Device type, operating system, and device identifier (where available).
- App version and build number.
- Device storage related to files the App creates.
Usage Data
- Features and tools accessed within the App (for example: scan, template editor, QR/barcode tools).
- Duration and frequency of App usage.
- Error logs and crash information (if diagnostic tools are enabled in a future update).
Network Information
- IP address and connection type when the App needs network access (for example: opening links from a scanned QR code, or loading maps for an address).
Location Data
- We do not collect precise GPS location. Opening a map for an address uses your device’s map/browser apps; we do not continuously track your location.
2.3 Camera and File System Permissions
When you grant permission to access your camera, photos/media, storage, or contacts, we use these permissions only to provide the feature you requested. We do not access camera, gallery, or contacts without your action.
