Privacy Policy for CardMaker
Effective Date: September 26, 2026
Last Updated: September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CardMaker: Visiting Card Design (“CardMaker,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the application.
CardMaker is designed to help users create, edit, save, export, and share visiting cards and business card designs. We respect user privacy and aim to keep data processing limited to what is necessary for the App's functionality.
The current version of CardMaker does not require an account and is designed primarily to process and store card projects locally on the user's device.
1. Information You Add to CardMaker
CardMaker allows you to enter information voluntarily while creating a card. Depending on how you use the App, this information may include:
Name
Job title
Business or company name
Phone number
Email address
Website
Address
Custom text
QR code content
Photos
Logos
Other images selected by you
This information is used to create and customize your card.
In the current version of CardMaker, this card content is processed locally on your device and is not intentionally uploaded to our servers.
2. Account Information
CardMaker does not require you to create an account or sign in to use its main card-design functionality.
We therefore do not intentionally collect usernames, passwords, or account credentials through the current version of CardMaker.
3. Photos, Images, and Logos
CardMaker allows you to select photos, logos, and other images from your device for use in your card designs.
Where supported by Android, CardMaker uses the Android system photo-selection functionality, such as the Android Photo Picker, to allow you to select specific images.
The App does not require unrestricted access to your entire photo library for this functionality.
A photo or image selected by you may be accessed and processed locally by CardMaker so that it can be displayed in your project and included in your exported card.
CardMaker does not intentionally upload your selected photos or logos to our servers in the current version.
You should only use photos, logos, trademarks, or other materials that you own or have permission to use.
4. Card Projects and Local Storage
CardMaker allows you to create and save card projects on your device.
A saved project may contain:
Text entered by you
Contact or business information
Selected photos or logos
QR code information
Shapes and design elements
Colors and backgrounds
Element positions and sizes
Other card customization settings
These projects are stored locally in CardMaker's application data so that you can reopen and continue editing them.
The current version does not provide cloud synchronization or server-side storage of your card projects.
5. QR Codes
CardMaker allows you to create QR codes for supported types of content, including:
Website links
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Custom text
QR codes are generated as part of your card design.
The information you enter for QR code generation is processed locally on your device and is not intentionally sent to our servers.
Please remember that information encoded in a QR code may be readable by anyone who can view or scan the exported card.
You are responsible for deciding what information you include in a QR code.
6. Exported Cards and Public Downloads
CardMaker allows you to export completed card designs as supported image formats, including PNG and JPG.
When you choose to download or save a completed card, CardMaker stores the exported image in your device's public Downloads collection using Android's supported storage functionality, such as MediaStore.
Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, and installed applications, exported images may be visible through your:
Downloads folder
File manager
Gallery or photo applications
Other applications that are permitted to access downloaded media
An exported card may contain information that you voluntarily included in your design, such as your name, phone number, email address, website, address, business information, photograph, logo, custom text, or QR code.
Once an image has been exported to the public Downloads collection, it is separate from CardMaker's private application data. Other applications may be able to access the exported image according to Android's storage rules, permissions, and your device settings.
CardMaker does not automatically upload exported cards to our servers.
You should review the information included in your card before exporting it.
7. Sharing Cards
CardMaker may allow you to share an exported card through Android's system sharing functionality.
When you choose to share a card, Android may display compatible applications installed on your device, such as messaging, email, social media, cloud storage, or other applications.
You decide which application or service receives the exported card.
After you intentionally share an image with another application or service, that third party may process the information according to its own terms and privacy policy.
CardMaker does not control the privacy or security practices of third-party applications you choose to use.
8. Device Permissions and Access
CardMaker is designed to request only the device access necessary to provide its functionality.
Depending on your Android version and the features you use, the App may use Android system functionality for purposes such as:
Selecting a photo or logo
Saving an exported card
Accessing locally saved project content
Sharing an exported image
The current version of CardMaker does not require broad access to your contacts, SMS messages, call history, microphone, or location for its card-design functionality.
The App also does not require unrestricted access to your complete photo library when Android's system photo picker is used.
Actual system permissions may vary depending on Android version and device behavior.
9. Public Storage
Exported cards are intentionally saved to the device's public Downloads collection so that users can access their finished images outside CardMaker.
Files stored in public Downloads are not treated in the same way as CardMaker's private application files.
This means that an exported card may remain on your device even if:
You delete the original project from CardMaker
You clear CardMaker's application data
You uninstall CardMaker
If you want to remove an exported image, you may need to delete it separately using your device's Downloads, Gallery, or file-management application.
10. Data Collection and Transmission
The current version of CardMaker is designed primarily for local processing.
We do not intentionally collect or transmit your locally created card projects, selected photos, logos, contact information, or QR content to our servers.
Information may leave your device when you intentionally choose to share or transfer an exported card using another application or service.
That user-initiated transfer is controlled by your selection of the destination application or service.
11. Advertising
The current version of CardMaker does not include third-party advertising integration.
We therefore do not intentionally transmit user information to an advertising provider for the purpose of displaying advertisements in the current version.
If advertising is introduced in a future version, we may update this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play disclosures to describe the relevant data practices.
12. Analytics and Tracking
The current version of CardMaker does not intentionally use third-party behavioral analytics or advertising tracking services.
We do not intentionally track users across other applications or websites through the current version of CardMaker.
If analytics or tracking functionality is introduced in a future release, this Privacy Policy and applicable disclosures will be reviewed and updated accordingly.
13. Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information that you enter into CardMaker.
The current version does not operate a cloud database for collecting your visiting card projects or the personal information you add to those projects.
14. Data Sharing
We do not intentionally share your locally created card information, selected photos, logos, or QR content with third parties through our own servers.
You may, however, choose to export or share a card.
When you intentionally share an exported card with another application or service, the destination service may receive all information visible or encoded in that card.
You should therefore review your card before sharing it.
15. Data Retention
Card projects and related application information are generally retained locally for as long as they remain in CardMaker's local application data.
You may delete individual projects using the functionality available within the App.
Clearing CardMaker's application data or uninstalling the App may remove locally stored application projects according to Android's behavior and your device configuration.
Exported Files
PNG and JPG images that you export to the public Downloads collection are separate from CardMaker's internal project data.
Deleting a project, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling CardMaker may not delete previously exported images.
Exported files may remain in public Downloads until you delete them using your device's Downloads, Gallery, or file-management functionality.
16. Data Deletion
Because CardMaker does not require an online account in the current version, most information created through the App is under your control on your device.
You can remove information by:
Deleting saved projects within CardMaker
Clearing CardMaker's application data through Android settings
Uninstalling CardMaker
Separately deleting exported PNG or JPG files from public Downloads
Because exported images are stored outside CardMaker's private application data, they may need to be deleted separately.
17. Security
We take reasonable measures in the design of CardMaker to limit unnecessary access to and transmission of user information.
The current version primarily processes card information locally rather than requiring it to be uploaded to a remote server.
However, no software, device, or storage method can guarantee complete security.
You should avoid adding highly sensitive or confidential information to a visiting card unless you intend for that information to be visible to people who receive or access the card.
You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your device and exported files.
18. Children's Privacy
CardMaker is a general card-design utility and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.
We do not knowingly operate CardMaker for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of applications and ensure that children do not place sensitive personal information into designs that may be exported or shared.
If the App's target audience or data practices change, we will review this Privacy Policy and applicable platform requirements.
19. Templates and Sample Information
CardMaker may include templates, placeholder text, example contact information, sample QR content, and other demonstration information.
Sample names, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, addresses, business names, and similar information are intended only to demonstrate the App's design functionality.
They are not intended to identify, represent, or imply an association with a particular individual, business, or organization.
20. User Content and Intellectual Property
Users are responsible for content they add to CardMaker.
You should ensure that you have the necessary ownership, license, consent, or permission to use any:
Photos
Logos
Business names
Trademarks
Graphics
Text
Brand elements
Copyrighted materials
Other content
that you add to your card.
Third-party names, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
The appearance or mention of third-party material does not imply that CardMaker is affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the relevant third party.
21. Disclaimer
CardMaker is an independent card-design application.
Templates and sample information provided within the App are intended for design and demonstration purposes.
Users are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of information and content they add to their designs.
CardMaker does not claim ownership of user-provided logos, photos, trademarks, or other content.
The use or mention of a third-party name, trademark, logo, product, or service does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement unless explicitly stated.
22. Third-Party Applications and Services
Some features may involve Android system components or applications selected by you.
For example, you may:
Select an image through Android's photo picker
Open an exported card in another application
Share an exported card through another application
These third-party applications and services operate independently from CardMaker and may have their own privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the data practices, security, content, or availability of third-party applications or services selected by the user.
23. Internet and Network Services
CardMaker's main card creation and editing functionality is designed primarily for local use.
External applications or operating-system services that you choose to use may independently require internet access.
If future versions of CardMaker introduce online functionality, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
24. Changes to the App
CardMaker may receive new features in future releases.
Future functionality could change the way information is processed, particularly if features such as the following are introduced:
Advertising
Analytics
Cloud backup
Online accounts
Online templates
Remote storage
Other internet-based services
Before or alongside introducing functionality that materially changes our privacy practices, we will review and update this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play disclosures as necessary.
25. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable requirements, or our data-handling practices.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the Last Updated date at the top of the policy will be revised.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
26. Google Play Data Safety
Information provided in the Google Play Data Safety section for CardMaker is intended to reflect the behavior of the version distributed through Google Play.
Our disclosures may be updated if CardMaker's features, permissions, SDKs, or data practices change.
This Privacy Policy should be considered together with the information displayed on CardMaker's Google Play listing.
