Assist with Organization

In distance learning, students no longer have to worry about keeping track of papers, folders, textbooks, and supplies; however managing multiple digital content can be challenging. For students with organizational issues, providing digital literacy in which they understand how to efficiently utilize their chromebook will be critical. Below are some ways that teachers can teach students how to organize their digital school materials.

BOOKMARKING

Bookmarking is a digital strategy in which all of a user's common resources can be placed in one specific spot located at the top of the Chromebook screen.

In this example, the user has chosen to bookmark email, google drive, Canvas, Actively Learn, Teacher Access Center, Storyboard That, Clever, Pandora, and Twitter. Instead of having to type in a specific URL or search them through google, the user can simply go to the top of the screen and click on the icon.

Teaching students to bookmark important digital resources like their email, Canvas Account or Google Classroom, Google Drive (including a specific folder), commonly used websites, and even specific documents can help to organize their materials and provide a one stop clicking experience for the student.
