The aim of this project is to raise awareness about the commercial sale and advertising of cigarettes and other tobacco products. The VR experience is based on a video by ash.org which shows how a child going to school may be exposed to advertising from tobacco companies and may be influenced into becoming a consumer.
The user will take the role of the child as mentioned in the ash.org video and walk through the city. During his short journey, the user will be able to see ads and shops selling tobacco. The user can choose to replace the shops and ads with other harmless shops and ads.
At the end of the experience the user will be able to see how many ads and shops he was exposed to as well as how many ads he was able to replace successfully. As a call to action, the user will be asked to donate to the ash.org cause and also sign a petition.
