Effective date: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vedican Technology Private Limited ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the VirtualNumber app for Android (package com.ar.internet.call.android). By using the app, you agree to this policy.
The number you receive in VirtualNumber is an in-app number. It works only inside the VirtualNumber app.
It is not a mobile or landline phone number. It is not connected to any phone network or SIM card.
You can only call, and receive calls from, other VirtualNumber users. Calls are app-to-app only, over the internet.
You cannot call outside numbers (regular mobile or landline numbers), and outside numbers cannot call your VirtualNumber.
Your VirtualNumber cannot send or receive SMS, and cannot receive OTP or verification codes from other services.
VirtualNumber cannot be used to call emergency services. In an emergency, use your phone's own dialer.
Information you give us
Display name: the name you enter when creating your number. Other users see it when you call them.
Contacts you save in the app: names, VirtualNumbers and an optional photo you choose. These are stored only on your device.
Blocked numbers and app settings (for example Do Not Disturb, ringtone, call screen style). Settings that affect calls, such as Do Not Disturb, are also saved to your account.
Information collected automatically
Device identifier: an app-specific Android ID, used to create and recognise your account on this device.
Account details: your assigned VirtualNumber, display name, account status and login time.
Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used to alert you to incoming calls.
Call information: which VirtualNumbers took part in a call, when it started and how long it lasted. This is needed to connect calls and to show your call history.
App usage and diagnostics: screens viewed, features used, app version, device model, Android version and how the app was installed (for example from Google Play).
Advertising data: the Android Advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions, collected by Google AdMob to show ads (see section 6).
What we do not collect
We do not read your phone's address book, SMS or call log.
We do not collect your precise or approximate location.
We do not record or store the audio of your calls on our servers.
Call audio travels in real time over an encrypted connection (WebRTC). It is not stored on our servers.
Call recording is optional and off unless you turn it on. Recordings are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. We never upload them.
When a recording starts, everyone on the call hears "This call is now being recorded." You are responsible for following the recording laws where you live.

To delete your account: open Settings → Delete Account → Send Request Deletion in the app, visit [Account deletion URL], or email vedicantechnology@gmail.com. After the request is approved, your account data is deleted and your VirtualNumber is released.
