Welcome!
This site presents the Virtual Embodiment Questionnaire (VEQ), an instrument to assess latent factors of avatar embodiment. Avatars can act as our surrogates in virtual worlds, the metaverse and other Extended Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, and Augmented Reality Applications.
The questionnaire was constructed using the principles of scale development following exploratory and confirmatory analysis. It assesses the three latent factors Ownership, Agency, and Change.
You can Download the Questionnaire in multiple languages (German, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean). We also provide some exemplary Example Instructions.
