Greetings! 

I am Vipul, a second year PhD scholar at School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. I work in the field of Reinforcement Learning(RL) and Control Theory under supervision of Dr. Sivaranjani Seetharaman.

During my 1st year at Purdue, I joined United States Army Research Laboratory for the summer of 2023 as an intern, and, worked on theory & applications in safe, and, multi-agent reinforcement learning, with Dr. Wesley Suttle and Dr. Brian Sadler.

Previously, I was a Software Engineer at Siemens India, working in the field of optimization, and, learning algorithms with application to Electricity Market Operations. 

I completed my master's from Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science(IISc) where I had the privilege of starting my research under the guidance of Dr. Pavan Tallapragada.

My Primary areas of interest are:

Following my inclinations towards psychology, I read Behavioral Psychology, and, Cognitive Theories following Robert Sapolsky, Paul Bloom, and Andrew Huberman.

I enjoy photography, swimming, playing guitar, and, learning piano. In my free time, I delve into neuroscience, and, philosophy. I am also enrolled in music classes, and, am currently in my 4rth year of Vocals classes for Classical Hindustani, affiliated with Prayag Sangeet Samiti.
