I'm currently a researcher at the Trustworthy Machine Learning Lab at the University of Sydney. I've also worked as an applied scientist at Amazon Sydney (2022), and the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn (2019-2020).
My research interests in machine learning include:
sparsity: training sparse networks from scratch, lottery ticket algorithms
robustness: learning with noisy labels
deep learning theory
See here for more details about my machine learning research.
I completed my PhD at MIT in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Roman Bezrukavnikov. I was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Utah (2015-2016), at the University of Sydney (2016-2019). See here for more about my mathematics research.
