Vineet Nagrath specializes in managing complex digital business ecosystems, and the software and service economy in robotics and the Internet of Things. He earned dual doctoral degrees from Université de Bourgogne, France, and Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia, and completed an Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Vision and Robotics from Université de Bourgogne. He received his engineering degree in computer science in New Delhi. At MIRMI, he develops models and methods that support the management of complex digital ecosystems and pragmatize the future of robotics and the Internet of Things.
He brings over 15 years of international experience as a Research Scientist and Software Project Manager in robotics, model-driven development, and Industry 4.0. He has led complex EU- and government-funded R&D projects such as KI.Fabrik, RobMoSys, and SeRoNet, demonstrating hands-on leadership in multi-agent systems, cloud robotics, OPC-UA, and Asset Administration Shell (AAS) frameworks. He holds a dual Ph.D. in Image Processing and Instrumentation and Electrical & Electronic Engineering, with specializations in machine learning, computer vision, gesture recognition, and cloud-based robotic architectures. He has collaborated extensively with top-tier institutions like TUM, CNRS, and Ulm University of Applied Sciences. He has published widely in international journals and conferences and holds additional credentials in strategic project management from IIM-Calcutta and machine learning from Stanford University. He actively advances intelligent autonomous systems through scalable, standards-compliant architectures.
