Recently when I try to type in our local language "Gujarati" via Google Input tools (I tried without Google tools also, with Gujarati fonts), the typed text not showing joined word and characters correctly.

The best thing that worked for me is Kohinoor Gujarati fonts. Use this font as your fonts and use google input tool or windows inbuilt language preference as Gujarati and type whatever you like; photoshop will recognize all the letters.

Chewing input method (IM) is based on libchewing,which is an open-source library for Traditional Chinese input. libchewing is upgraded to the libchewing 0.3.0 version. libchewing 0.3.0 includes the following features:

The input method switcher application, gnome-im-switcher-applet,is replaced with iiim-panel, a stand-alone GTK+ application. iiim-panel now starts and resides on the GNOME panel automaticallywhen you log in to the Java Desktop System (Java DS) in UTF-8 or Asian locales. iiim-panel can also run in the Common Desktop Environment (CDE).

Each language engine has also been upgraded to the IIIMF revision12 base. The Japanese language engines, ATOK12 and Wnn6, have been updatedto ATOK for Oracle Solaris and Wnn8 respectively. ATOK for Oracle Solarisis equivalent to ATOK17. A new Chinese chewing input method has also beenadded to the IIIMF.

Users who operate within any Unicode (UTF-8) locale of the Oracle Solaris operating system cannow easily and intuitively input characters from Indian regional languages.Users who interact with CDE applications, StarOffice, or Mozilla can moreeasily interact with Indian scripts.

After selecting the transliteration-based input method (IM), users cantype phonetic equivalents of Indian language scripts in English. These equivalentsare then displayed in the script that is selected, and are correctly shapedand rendered with the help of an underlying layout and shaper module. As transliterationis the most commonly used input method for Indian languages, this supportcan greatly enhance the usability of the eight Indian scripts that are providedin the Oracle Solaris software.

The Wubi input method (IM) is widely used in China. The encoding rulefor Wubi IM is based on the radical or stroke shape of Chinese characters.Users can rapidly type Chinese characters through a standard keyboard ratherthan through slower, phonetic-based input methods.

I am interested in writing articles on educational subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Quantum Mechanics, Particle Physics, Philosophy, Western Literature and its Theory, Indian Literature and its theory, Psychology, History etc. The lists you provided ignore these educational topics as well topics our local language (Gujarati) users most likely interested. I think educational topics can be more helpful to readers and students alike. I, myself being a Chemistry student, know that how helpful it can be to students so I want to contribute in these educational subjects. If a contest is focused on these and other educational subjects, it will be very helpful to people. I would be contributing more to these subjects due to my access to public libraries and having a large educational library. I would also provide other community members through recently opened resource exchange in Gujarati Wikipedia. So I kindly request to create a new list of India centred topics, topics of local language reader interest and educational topics for the Article Writing Contest. I had been writing articles regularly in the Tamil language since 2013. But I felt that some admins whom I thought are fundamentalists or even extremists, were interfering in my articles in a way that I had to find additional resources like time and money to carry on the discussions, apart from creating articles. Of course there are friends who encouraged me. But I felt the negative forces were overwhelming and I had to reduce my input.

I wish to point out one issue here.

I think a few years after independence political leaders in Tamil Nadu State requested people to stop using the caste name with their own names. Almost all Tamilian people adhered to that request. Therefore, after 1970 or so we do not see people using the caste name. However, people who hailed from earlier decades carried the caste name with their own names and therefore popular names included the caste name.

I was writing articles in Tamil on people who excelled in the field of Carnatic music. Most of the Carnatic musicians of 19th and early 20th century used caste names with their own names. It was like part of their own names and they were popular by that name. One Admin moved my article on a musician changing the title with the caste name removed (Dwaram Venkataswamy) saying caste names are not allowed in Tamil Wikipedia. There was a lengthy discussion about this on the article's talk page. The irony is, while the English language article is titled Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu, the Tamil language article is titled without the word Naidu. The person described in the article is not even a Tamilian. After this, I voluntarily removed the caste names in articles that had been created by me up to that time. I stopped writing any further articles about musicians. I continue writing uncontroversial articles such as ones on old Tamil films. Over the years, Google has also been incorporating transliteration into its web-based services such as Gmail and Orkut, apart from Blogger. It also offers a few other transliteration tools and options.
