Village Accepting Letters of Interest for Planning Commission Appointments

RUTLAND, Ohio — The Rutland Mayor's Office is accepting letters of interest for Public Member of the Rutland Village Planning Commission for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2032; and for Resident Member of the Rutland Village Planning Commission for the term ending December 31, 2032.

Persons eligible for appointment as Public Member must be aged eighteen years or older and reside in Meigs County. Persons eligible for appointment as Resident Member must be aged eighteen years or older and reside in the Village of Rutland.

Members of the Planning Commission convene at minimum once monthly, and as needed for special called meetings, to execute the powers, duties and responsibilities of the Planning Commission. In summary, the Planning Commission plans and oversees the community and economic development, as well as the land usage and zoning regulation of the Village of Rutland. Please, submit letters of interest to the Rutland Mayor's Office, by mail or in person, at Rutland Civic Center-Village Hall, 337 Main Street, Post Office Box 297, Rutland, Ohio 45775. Letters of interest are due before 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2026.
