Street Paving to be Completed on Lynn Street this Week

RUTLAND, Ohio — Mayor Tyler M. Eblin announced today street paving on Lynn Avenue and Lynn Street will begin this Thursday, with McKee Paving Company selected as the project contractor.

The resurfacing of Lynn Avenue and Lynn Street will complete the second phase of the Lynn Avenue and Lynn Street Storm Sewer and Street Surface Improvement Project.

"I am pleased to announce improvements to Lynn Avenue and Lynn Street will near completion at the end of this week with a new stormwater collection and drainage system, and a fresh coat of asphalt," comments Mayor Eblin. "The Lynn project is the result of a $31,000 investment in a long forgotten neighborhood of our community, pairing along with more than $140,000 invested in Village storm sewer and roadway surface infrastructure under the current Village administration, a remarkable achievement for Rutland."

Mayor Eblin explains project is backed by the Village's one-percent municipal income tax, with an amortization term of seven years, and a project lifespan of approximately 25 years.
