Rutland Mayor’s Court to Convene for Arraignment of Cases

RUTLAND, Ohio — The Rutland Mayor's Court will convene to arraign cases on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. The session will be in Room 106 at the Rutland Civic Center.

Persons who receive a traffic ticket or misdemeanor citation from the Rutland Police Department must either pay the prescribed fine before the Court date and time or personally appear before the Mayor or Magistrate to enter a plea to the offense charged.

If the fine amount is unknown, the defendant is responsible for contacting the Clerk of Court to identify and pay that amount. If the traffic ticket or misdemeanor citation requires a mandatory appearance, the defendant must personally appear before the Mayor or Magistrate to enter a plea to the offense charged.

Failure to remit fine payments or appear in person will result in further action by the Court as prescribed by law, including a supplemental citation, bench warrant, registration block and or suspension of the defendant's driver's license.
