How to get to Volos and Pelion

By road: Volos is 305 km away from Athens and 210 km away from Thessaloniki. The interurban buses KTEL of Magnesia provide daily several itineraries from and to Athens, Thessaloniki, as well as from and to other cities.

From Volos there are two main roads that lead to Pelion: the one heading North to the villages of central Pelion and then to the ones of Eastern Pelion and the second one, by the sea, heading both to Southern Pelion as well to Eastern Pelion.

By trainOSE: Daily from Athens and Thessaloniki to Larisa and from there with a connecting train.

By air: From countries abroad with international flights, directly to the airport of Volos in Nea Anchialos (VOL), which is 30 km from Volos, or to the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki or Skiathos(JSI).

By sea: You can reach Skiathos by airplane from Athens or abroad and then catch the ferry boat or the flying dolphin to Volos port or you may take a sea taxi to Katigiorgis, situated just across Skiathos. Moreover, private boats can reach several small ports and marina of Pelion, adn Volos port.
