If you want open-ear audio for movement and everyday listening, choose Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds; if you need a speaker for bedtime listening under a pillow, choose Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker. For the gym, Vikye is the more relevant fit: it’s designed to stay on the ears during jumping, while Chewtoyo is built around quiet, stationary listening.
Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds vs Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker at a Glance
• Chewtoyo’s biggest strength: A pillow speaker with four built-in sound tracks, a 30- or 60-minute shutoff timer, and about 20 hours of playback per charge. Trade-off: It’s intended to sit under a pillow, not to stay on your ears during a workout.
• Choose Vikye for gym sessions, movement, and a wearable headset that leaves the ear openings uncovered.
• Choose Chewtoyo for bedtime, a nap, or private listening without wearing conventional earbuds.
Vikye is an open-ear wireless earpiece that sends sound through bone conduction rather than placing a conventional earbud inside the ear. Its design can rotate for use on either ear, and the product information describes a fit intended to remain in place during jumping. That makes it the more sensible choice of these two for gym use, especially if you want audio without sealing your ear canals.
It supports music playback, pausing, answering or rejecting calls, and call-related audio functions. Bluetooth range is listed as up to 15 meters in an unobstructed setting. The connection uses Bluetooth 5, and the headset has physical buttons. Those details suit someone who wants a wearable option for music or calls while moving around, rather than a speaker that has to rest on a surface.
I would skip Vikye if your main goal is falling asleep to built-in nature sounds or setting audio to stop after a set time. The data lists no noise control, so it isn’t designed to block surrounding sound. And while its open-ear approach may appeal to someone who dislikes in-ear buds, it isn’t a sleep speaker or a dedicated white-noise machine. For shoppers searching for ear clip headphones for gym, its open-ear, movement-oriented design is the closer match here; just note that the listed description identifies it as a bone-conduction earpiece, not a conventional ear clip.

Chewtoyo is made for listening while resting, not for wearing through a workout. It is a compact speaker intended to sit under a pillow, using vibrations to transmit audio. That layout gives it a clear purpose: hear sound while lying down without putting an earbud in your ear. The product is also described for office naps and travel, so it can suit quiet, stationary listening beyond bedtime.
Its sleep features are unusually specific. There are four built-in tracks—ocean waves, train sounds, birdsong, and rainfall—and a double-tap control sets an auto-off timer for 30 or 60 minutes. You can adjust sound level with a phone. The rechargeable battery is listed at 400 mAh, with roughly 20 hours of playback after a three-hour charge using Type-C. That makes the charging and timer details relevant for someone who wants audio to wind down without leaving it playing all night.
Chewtoyo is the wrong pick if you need headphones for running, lifting, or anything involving frequent movement. It isn’t described as an ear-worn product, and its under-pillow position is central to how it works. It also doesn’t offer Vikye’s listed call controls. If you’re looking for usb c charging earphones for gym, be careful with the wording: Chewtoyo does use Type-C charging, but it is a pillow speaker, not gym earphones. The charging connector alone doesn’t make it the right workout device.
• For gym sessions and active movement → Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds. Its open-ear design is intended to stay in place during jumping; Chewtoyo is designed to rest under a pillow.
• For listening without putting earbuds in your ear → Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker. It is designed to sit beneath a pillow and transmit sound through vibrations.
• For answering and rejecting calls → Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds. Call functions are part of its listed feature set; Chewtoyo’s details focus on sleep audio.
• For built-in calming audio → Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker. It includes four sound options: ocean waves, train sounds, birdsong, and rainfall.
• For a timed listening session → Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker. Its double-tap timer can stop playback after 30 or 60 minutes.
• For the longer stated playback estimate → Chewtoyo Compact Sleep Speaker. Its battery is described as providing roughly 20 hours of playback after a three-hour Type-C charge. No comparable playback figure is provided for Vikye.
• For an open-ear Bluetooth headset with a stated range → Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds. The listed unobstructed range is up to 15 meters. Chewtoyo’s sheet describes Bluetooth 5.1 but does not give a range.
• For the best wireless earbuds for gym among these two → Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds, with a caveat. It is the only one designed to be worn on the ears during movement, but the product information doesn’t provide a workout-specific durability rating or a battery-life figure.
The key distinction is not a small feature difference; it’s the way each product is meant to be used. Vikye is a wearable headset. Chewtoyo is a small speaker for a pillow. A person deciding between them should start with where the audio will happen: while moving, or while resting.
There are a few practical trade-offs worth keeping in view. Vikye leaves the ear openings uncovered, but it has no listed noise-control feature. That may be a plus for someone who wants an open-ear design, yet it won’t serve someone seeking isolation from a busy room. Chewtoyo avoids the feeling of wearing earbuds at bedtime, but the pillow placement makes it a poor substitute for a headset when walking or exercising.
The controls also point in different directions. Vikye’s physical buttons support playback and call functions, making it the more versatile choice for routine listening. Chewtoyo’s timer and phone-based volume adjustment are aimed at settling in for sleep. Neither set of features makes one product universally better; they make each one more appropriate for a different routine.
Charging is another place where the available information favors Chewtoyo for specification clarity. It lists Type-C charging and a rough playback estimate, while Vikye’s sheet mentions a charging cable but doesn’t state the connector type or battery duration. So if a shopper specifically wants usb c charging earphones for gym, the provided details don’t establish that Vikye uses USB-C. Chewtoyo does list Type-C, but its intended use remains under-pillow listening rather than gym use.
In my opinion, I’d buy Vikye Bone Conduction Earbuds if I wanted one of these for the gym. Its open-ear, on-ear design and call controls are better aligned with movement than a pillow speaker. For bedtime sounds and a shutoff timer, I’d choose Chewtoyo instead. But for the gym, Vikye is my clear pick because it is designed to be worn during active use.
Vikye is the more suitable option for gym use because it is worn on the ears and its design is described as staying in place during jumping. Chewtoyo is designed to sit under a pillow, so it is intended for resting rather than exercise.
