I am interested in working in the interdisciplinary field of chemistry and biology mainly, peptide design, self-assembly, and hydrogelation. Primarily, my research interest is focused on developing tunable self-assembled peptide nanomaterials, which can be applied for biomedical and healthcare applications. In particular, this involves design and synthesis of bioinspired peptide sequences, self-assembly of the designed peptide sequence, characterization and application of the peptide nanomaterials in mimicking the natural biological system such as extracellular matrix (ECM). Further, 3D bioprinting of these synthetic matrices to produce a better mimic for tissue engineering applications.
