Video Converter processes your videos on your device. We prioritize your privacy and minimize data collection.

Data Collection & Usage

Local Media Processing

Video conversion, compression, thumbnail generation and media inspection take place on your device. The app does not upload your videos or photos to our servers, RevenueCat or TelemetryDeck. Preferences, conversion history and working files are stored locally.

If you choose to share or export a file to another service, that service’s privacy practices may apply.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, manage subscriptions and provide access to premium features.

RevenueCat processes purchase and transaction information and app-specific identifiers, including automatically generated anonymous App User IDs. This information is used to provide purchase functionality and subscription analytics, such as purchase history and revenue reports.

RevenueCat does not receive the videos or photos you convert.

App Analytics

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how people use Video Converter and improve its features and reliability.

Analytics may include app launches, screens visited, onboarding progress, import and conversion actions, export and sharing outcomes, subscription screen interactions, and purchase or restoration outcomes. Events may include conversion settings, file-size ranges, operation duration and storage savings.

TelemetryDeck also receives technical information such as device model, operating system, app version, and device language and region preferences. Region preferences are not precise location data.

Analytics use a hashed, app-specific identifier. We provide that identifier and our TelemetryDeck app identifier to RevenueCat so that usage events can be associated with purchase, renewal and refund events. These records are pseudonymous and may be linked to the same app user; we do not treat them as completely anonymous.

Analytics events do not include your videos, photos, file contents, file names or file paths.

Errors & Diagnostics

We collect technical error events and diagnostic summaries to identify failed operations, crashes, hangs and performance problems.

This information may include error categories and codes, the operation stage, operation duration, app and system versions, and counts of diagnostic incidents. These events may be associated with the same pseudonymous analytics identifier.

The app uses Apple’s MetricKit framework for diagnostics. A limited number of full diagnostic reports may be stored locally on your device for troubleshooting. Our diagnostic reporting sends summaries to TelemetryDeck, rather than uploading those full reports.

Apple Ads Attribution

We use Apple AdServices and RevenueCat to understand whether an app installation resulted from an Apple Ads advertisement and to measure campaign performance.

The app obtains an attribution token from Apple and sends it to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses this token to request attribution information from Apple, which may include the campaign, ad group and keyword associated with the installation.

This information is associated with the app-specific RevenueCat user identifier and purchase history to measure purchases and revenue generated by advertising campaigns.

We use standard Apple AdServices attribution without accessing the device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not use this information to track users across other companies’ apps and websites for personalized advertising. Your videos and photos are not included in attribution data.
