Stirling power convertors in RPS can potentially reduce the amount of plutonium fuel required to achieve a given power level by a factor of four, all while maintaining the long life and high reliability needed to support space missions. In 2016, GRC researchers analyzed a longterm demonstration of Stirling power convertor technology, and the results indicate the promise of this technology for use in future missions.
The continuous power production of the two TDCs for over 11 years provides evidence that dynamic power conversion can be relied upon for space exploration. To confirm that minimal or no wear has been experienced by these convertors, one of the 103,000-hr TDC units will be disassembled for inspection. The other unit will continue operation to support reliability assessment of flexure-based free-piston Stirling convertors. PSD is currently examining several different dynamic convertors in an effort to develop a robust and reliable radioisotope generator to support future missions. Data from this long-term TDC demonstration will provide valuable insight regarding the potential use of Stirling convertors in future flight hardware.

If for some reason, the charger is limited to 110 or 120 Volts, charging batteries is a low wattage application, so a very simple convertor will work, in the range of about $20. If the input is 110V-240V, then only a very basic adapter for a couple bucks is needed.
We proposed an ultra-broadband reflective metamaterial with controlling the scattering electromagnetic fields based on a polarization convertor. The unit cell of the polarization convertor was composed of a three layers substrate with double metallic split-rings structure and a metal ground plane. The proposed polarization convertor and that with rotation angle of 90 deg had been employed as the "0" and "1" elements to design the digital reflective metamaterial. The numbers of the "0" and "1" elements were chosen based on the information entropy theory. Then, the optimized combinational format was selected by genetic optimization algorithm. The scattering electromagnetic fields had been manipulated due to destructive interference, which was attributed to the control of phase and amplitude by the proposed polarization convertor. Simulated and experimental results indicated that the reflective metamaterial exhibited significantly RCS reduction in an ultra-broad frequency band for both normal and oblique incidences.
First check the battery type and whether you will power the Arduino during charge or whatever . You need to know what the maximum voltage could be and add a safety margin. You need to specify total current you need too .
Hobby convertors mainly use 2596 or similar which rated upto around 36v.

I teach at a local junior college and am trying to create a multisim circuit to convert 8 bit parallel data into serial data using a 74166. I have a circuit attached but I am not getting the correct data out. I have an analog input connected to a A /D convertor and that part of the circuit is working. However I am having trouble getting the Parallel to serial part to work.. I think I need a trailing edge one shot to toggle the shift/load function on the 74166. But I am looking for help to get the serial line to provide a serial representation of the parallel input. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached my work so far.
Convertor is a special library which translate one graphic technology functions to another. These software is very rare, but some other developers did same kind convertors, but for different purposes. Common practice is to use convertor for compability with modern hardware and operational systems, but mine are only for applying graphic effects to old games. The simplest convertor is DirectX8 to DirectX9 (actually direct3d8 to direct3d9), all others much more complex, so i'm not in hurry to do them.
