* **Offline-First Processing**: **Video Compressor & Converter** operates 100% locally on your device. 

* **Zero Cloud Uploads**: All video compression, format conversion, audio extraction, editing, and thumbnail generation are executed entirely within your device's memory. We **do not** collect, store, transmit, process, or upload your videos, photos, or audio files to any external servers or third-party cloud services.

* **Your Content Belongs to You**: Your media files never leave your phone.

### 2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical location.

#### A. Device & Usage Information (AdMob & Analytics)

Our app uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect non-personal technical data to display relevant ads, including:

* Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version.

* Advertising Identifier (Google AAID).

* General coarse location (country or city level derived from IP address for ad localization).

* App performance metrics (crash logs or ad interaction statistics).

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and Switzerland, consent for personalized versus non-personalized ads is managed transparently via Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).

### 3. Android Permissions Used

Our app requests minimal system permissions strictly required for core video processing functionality:

  * **Scope**: Used strictly for local media selection and saving. We never scan or read files outside the media items you explicitly select.

* **Foreground Service (`FOREGROUND_SERVICE`, `POST_NOTIFICATIONS`)**:

  * **Purpose**: Allows background video processing to continue safely without being killed by the Android system when you minimize the app, displaying a progress status in your notification bar.
